Here’s what has taken place on the weekly FFF show over the last three weeks. Despite some studio limitations here and there, we were able to talk up the new Sleaford Mods album a bit, contribute to the “power couples” day sponsorship at KMSU, plunge into some key Cheap Trick and Suburbs tracks in anticipation…
It’s that time of year again where my old pal Chris Berry of the Soft Abuse and Fruits & Flowers labels makes his annual trek down to Mankato to join me on the podcast show. This is something we’ve been doing since the start of the podcast, for five consecutive years now (maybe more even),…
We were happy to be able to do a few live shows over the past couple of weeks as our schedules so seldom allow for this to happen. During this time we covered the sad passing of Dieter Moebius (of Cluster, Harmonia, etc.), talked heavily sampled greats (Liquid Liquid, Incredible Bongo Band), plunged into some…
Had to sweat it out a bit in the sauna-like studio to bring you this episode of the podcast. It felt sort of cleansing though to work through these conditions in order to share a large batch of amazing music that has been occupying every spare minute and every playback device I’ve had access to…
Once again playing catch-up on posting our weekly playlists. This past month has included, amongst other things: Carl’s Rolling Stones pre-concert binge, Stan Hubbs’ baked mug and other assorted Music Expo finds, Dave’s on-going Basement Tapes fascination, Terry Riley’s 80th Birthday, and The Replacements’ KMSU Day Sponsorship motherload. As always, thanks for checking in with…
Settling into summer mode a bit here, so we’ve been just a little bit off the usual podcast schedule of late. But, we’ve got some guests and other feature shows lined up in the weeks and months ahead and plenty of new music to highlight on upcoming shows, so we’ve got good reason to get…
As we wrote about a few weeks back, we have now started up our own in-house label called Round Bale Recordings. Everything has now arrived and the first release from the group Tilth is now ready and available to order. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. Tilth “Country Music”…
Finally pushing through some busy times around here over the past couple of weeks, so I’m happy to be sort of catching my breath and getting a chance to go through a bunch of mostly newer music that has been piling up in the FFF bunker for this episode of the podcast. You can expect…
We’ve been a bit negligent on posting the weekly playlists of late. Through a couple of Pledge Drive shows, talk of Royal Trux and Stones live gigs, Carl’s birthday and other assorted happenings, this is what has gone down over the past six weeks on the Thursday show. Feel free to get in touch if…
The idea of starting a label has been floating around the FFF orbit for several years now. Having the opportunity to hear so much incredible new music on a regular basis and be able interact with so many talented artists from around the globe, you can’t help but want to take part in releasing and…
